IOWA: An 18-year-old died in a one-vehicle accident that left him partially ejected from the car. Colin Lingenfelter, 18, was a passenger in the car when it ran off the road, hit a ditch, hit a driveway, and became airborne. The car landed on the driver's side and rolled several times. The driver, 19-year-old Scott Bleything, and another passenger, Julian Holmes, 19, were injured. Lingenfelter died at the scene of the crash.


IDAHO: An 18-year-old died Sunday afternoon when he lost control of his car, rolling it. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that Brycen Blackburn died after he swerved several times across the road, flipped, and landed on the roof of his car in the median. The accident is under investigation.

UPDATE: Police say Brycen's blood alcohol level was above legal limits at the time of the crash. Story here.

NEW YORK: Nineteen-year-old Michael Capone of Holmes, N.Y., died in a one-car crash after he lost control of the speeding car. The car left the road, hit a pole, spun, and then wrapped around a tree. The Mid-Hudson News reports that it appears speeding was the only factor in the crash.
